Ultra Low Noise & Microphonics – VERY STRONG - Balanced Sections - Vintage Sylvania Production

Test Results:

Tube tested on AMPLITREX AT-1000 Tube Tester:

  • Test Conditions: Va = 250V ; Vg = -3V
  • Average 100%: Gm = 1200 ; Ia = 1.0 mA
  • Test Result: VERY STRONG

Tube :

  • Section 1: Gm = 1200 ; Ia = 1.0 mA
  • Section 2: Gm = 1200 ; Ia = 1.1 mA
Additional Tests Performed:
  • Burn-in / Stability Test: 48h – OK
  • Microphonics: Very Low. Tested and compliant for use in hi-fi equipment and guitar amplifiers, even in the most sensitive audio stages.
  • Noise: Low and well-controlled. Silent operation in hi-fi and musical amplifiers in the designated positions.
  • Balance: Excellent - Sections are consistent and well-aligned, making the tube also suitable for use as a phase inverter in hi-fi and instrumental applications.

Description:

Precious 5751WA Sylvania, authentic American production Made in USA from 1956, characterized by the robust and sought-after Triple Mica, Black Plates, and Square Getter construction. A professional tube from the 5751 family, particularly interesting for audio applications requiring low noise, stability, and excellent balance between sections.

The manufacturing code 620 identifies production from Sylvania Electric Products Inc., Emporium, Pennsylvania, and places this unit in the 20th week of 1956. The Triple Mica construction contributes to greater mechanical rigidity of the internal structure, while the Black Plates and the Square Getter enhance its technical and collector's interest.

The tube has been accurately tested in our laboratory using the Amplitrex AT-1000 Tube Tester, achieving a VERY STRONG / MOLTO FORTE classification. Both sections measure exactly Gm 1200, with anode currents of 1.0 and 1.1 mA, values perfectly consistent with the nominal reference and indicative of an excellent balance between the two triodes. Emission is very strong, stable, and free from fluctuations.

It has also passed a 48-hour Burn-in / Stability Test and has been selected for Ultra Low Noise & Microphonics, with low and well-controlled noise. It is therefore particularly suitable even for the most sensitive audio stages, including V1, compatible phono stages, and high-gain circuits, as well as for guitar amplifiers. The excellent symmetry of the two sections also makes it suitable for use as a phase inverter in compatible hi-fi and instrumental applications.

Sonically, vintage Sylvania 5751s are appreciated for a balanced, refined, and musical presentation, with natural and well-defined mids, controlled bass, and clean, airy high frequencies. The 5751, thanks to its lower gain compared to a 12AX7/ECC83, can offer a more controlled response and a greater sense of headroom in equipment designed to use it or that allows for its replacement.

Ideal for hi-fi preamplifiers, compatible phono stages, integrated amplifiers, line stages, phase inverters, and guitar amplifiers designed for 5751 / 5751WA or compatible with this type.

The tube is Vintage, accurately tested, and fully functional. The aesthetic conditions are adequate, with partially faded markings and normal visible signs of age, while the internal structure is well preserved. It is supplied in our custom box for optimal protection.

A valuable Sylvania 5751WA Triple Mica Black Plates Square Getter from 1956, truly tested and selected by Vacuum Tubes Treasures, with VERY STRONG, excellent balance, and Ultra Low Noise & Microphonics selection: a particularly interesting vintage American example for high-level audio applications.
