Description:

Precious 12AU7 / ECC82 DUMONT produced by Tung-Sol in the United States in 1956, featuring the sought-after Long Gray Plates construction with Horse Shoe Getter, typical of the best American productions of the mid-1950s.

The DUMONT branding identifies a selected OEM supply, while the manufacturing code 322 clearly attributes production to Tung-Sol Electric Inc.. It is therefore an authentic vintage American Tung-Sol, interesting for both hi-fi enthusiasts and those seeking original components for quality vintage restorations.

The tube has been carefully subjected to 48 hours of burn-in / stability test and subsequently tested in our laboratory using the Amplitrex AT-1000 Tube Tester, achieving a VERY STRONG rating. Both sections are well-balanced, and the tube has been selected for Low Noise & Microphonics, with strong, stable, and anomaly-free emission.

Sonically, Tung-Sol Long Gray Plate tubes from this period are appreciated for rich, natural, and dynamic reproduction, with full and well-controlled bass, a full-bodied and musical midrange, open but refined high frequencies, and a wide, deep, and well-focused soundstage. The overall character combines the typical warmth of 1950s American production with good transparency and definition.

Ideal for hi-fi preamplifiers, compatible phono stages, driver stages, phase inverters, tube DACs, headphone amplifiers, and guitar amplifiers. Thanks to the Low Noise & Microphonics selection, it is also suitable for the most sensitive positions, including V1 in compatible applications.

The tube is Vintage, carefully tested, and fully functional. The cosmetic condition is good, with partially eroded but still legible markings and the tube body in good overall condition.

An authentic and fascinating DUMONT by Tung-Sol Long Gray Plates from 1956, genuinely tested and selected by Vacuum Tubes Treasures, ideal for those seeking a strong, quiet, and musically refined vintage American 12AU7 / ECC82.
