Updated – June 2025
Recent changes to U.S. import policies have introduced new duties on many products imported from Europe — including vintage audio components.
A general 10% tariff is currently in effect, and a temporary suspension of the additional 20% reciprocal duty is valid until July 9, 2025.
This means duties may vary depending on when your order is processed and how U.S. Customs evaluates the shipment.
🔍 Customs Note – June 2025
As of today, a baseline 10% tariff applies to most European imports. An additional 20% tariff has been temporarily suspended for EU shipments, but this suspension is set to expire on July 9, 2025, unless extended.
We continue to offer full support with the “U.S. Goods Returned” customs treatment — particularly for American-made vacuum tubes returning home under HTS Code 9801.00.10.
Please note that final decisions on customs duties are made by U.S. Customs and may vary based on the shipment’s documentation and declared content.
Most of our vacuum tubes were originally made in the United States during the golden era of audio — the 1950s and 1960s. Today, they return home as carefully selected and tested treasures for collectors, musicians, and audiophiles.
Each tube is:
✔️ Of American origin (unless clearly specified otherwise)
✔️ Individually tested with professional-grade equipment (Amplitrex AT1000)
✔️ Packaged with care and sealed for protection
✔️ Accompanied by accurate documentation for customs
This return process applies only to tubes originally manufactured in the United States. Tubes of other origin (e.g., Mullard, Telefunken, etc.) may be subject to standard import duties.
We do everything possible to ensure re-importation to the U.S. is as smooth and duty-free as possible, whenever applicable under HTS code 9801.00.10 — especially for tubes of verified American origin.
🎧 Vacuum Tubes Treasures is based in Italy and proudly supports international buyers, especially our friends in the USA.
