My system operates an EL34 single-ended amplifier, a KT88 push-pull amplifier, and a TR amplifier.
I am very satisfied with the 5U4G (U52) NOS SYLVANIA black plate [] getter hanging filament tube rectifier (made in the USA) I recently purchased from Vacuum Tubes Treasures.
The meticulous care taken in packaging to protect the product was particularly impressive.
I was searching for an old 5U4G rectifier tube to use with my vintage Mullard EL34 XF2 in my system. Finding the tube I had in mind wasn't easy, but luckily I was able to purchase it from Vacuum Tubes Treasures.
Matching the 5U4G to the amp and listening to music for about 6 hours was truly fantastic.
The highs became clearer yet smoother, while the mids felt noticeably fuller and more solid.
The bass also expanded significantly, delivering a deep, weighty impact.
Listening to music, the powerful bass notes supporting everything from below felt like.
The pairing of the 5U4G and EL34 seems like a dream combination.
