Description:

Interesting Matched Pair of 12BH7 General Electric, vintage American production attributable to the 1960s, characterized by the classic Oval Gray Plates with Horse Shoe Getter construction, representative of GE's solid production during this period.

The two specimens show a slight variation in the getter support, clearly visible in the photographs, compatible with different construction configurations of GE production. The pair was selected based on the correspondence of electrical values, a determining criterion for matching.

The 12BH7 is a double triode particularly appreciated in driver and line stages due to its good driving capability, robustness, and operational stability. These General Electric Made in USA specimens represent an interesting choice for vintage hi-fi equipment and instrument amplifiers.

The tubes, Vintage Used but still electrically very strong, underwent 48 hours of burn-in / stability test and were subsequently tested in our laboratory using the Amplitrex AT-1000 Tube Tester, obtaining a VERY STRONG classification. The pair also resulted in Low Noise & Microphonics, with stable behavior and no anomalies detected.

The balance between sections is VERY GOOD, with consistent and well-aligned values. This characteristic, along with the Low Noise & Microphonics selection, makes the tubes particularly interesting for use as a phase inverter, as well as in driver stages, line stages, and compatible hi-fi and instrumental applications.

From a sonic perspective, vintage 12BH7A GE tubes are appreciated for a solid, dynamic, and natural presentation, with good bass presence, full and well-defined mids, and clean and controlled highs. The driving capability typical of the 12BH7 contributes to energetic and authoritative reproduction in equipment designed for this tube.

The tubes are Vintage Used, carefully tested, and fully functional. The aesthetic condition is adequate for their age and previous use, with partially faded or illegible silkscreen prints and clear signs of time.

An interesting electrically matched pair of authentic GE 12BH7 Oval Gray Plates Horse Shoe Getter Made in USA, truly tested and selected by Vacuum Tubes Treasures, ideal for those seeking two vintage American 12BH7A tubes that are still strong, quiet, and reliable.
