Description:

This USN 6922 SYLVANIA , produced in the USA in 1962, is a military version intended for the US Navy, built to more stringent specifications than the civilian production.

This is an authentic SYLVANIA USA production , with construction features typical of the first half of the 60s:

  • Gold Pins
  • Horseshoe Getter
  • Robust and compact Sylvania internal structure
  • Original USN markings
  • Certified US military production

A 6922 USA with a solid, stable and consistent character.

Sound Characteristics

The Sylvania USA Military 6922s are distinguished by a balanced and controlled timbre setting.

Bass: Compact and well-articulated, with good control and a sense of stability.

Mids: Clean and linear, with excellent vocal intelligibility and natural rendering of voices.

Highs: Defined but not aggressive, with an orderly and never fatiguing brilliance.

Dynamics: Fast and precise, suitable for sensitive circuits.

Soundstage: Stable and well-centered image, with good focus.

It is a valve for those seeking American reliability and neutrality , rather than overt romanticism.

🎧 Use in Hi-Fi Amplifiers

Ideal for:

  • MM / MC phono stages
  • Tube DACs
  • Headphone amplifiers with single 6922
  • Line preamplifiers
  • Guitar Amplifiers (also in V1)

Microphonics were found to be low during testing, making it suitable even for sensitive circuits.

🎯 Note for audiophiles and technicians

This is not a rebranded European production, but a real military USA SYLVANIA .

It is proposed as:

  • Valve selected
  • VTT Class: STRONG
  • Electrically coherent and stable
  • Ready for real-world use in hi-fi or instrumental systems

It is not offered as a NOS collectible, but as a reliable and high-performance component.

  • ATTENTION PLEASE

Please understand that the writing on the glass of vintage valves has become very delicate over the years and comes off easily. You must handle them with extreme care to avoid this.
