Description:

 Precious 12BH7 RCA NOS NIB, vintage American production attributable to the 1960s, characterized by the sought-after Black Plates with Horse Shoe Getter construction, one of the most interesting configurations of RCA's American production of the period.

The 12BH7 is a double triode particularly appreciated in driver and line stages for its good driving capability, robustness and operational stability. The Black Plates construction of this RCA specimen further increases its interest for fans of vintage American tubes and for quality hi-fi and instrumental equipment.

The tube has undergone 48 hours of burn-in / stability test and subsequently accurately tested in our laboratory using the Amplitrex AT-1000 Tube Tester, obtaining a VERY STRONG classification. Both sections reach Gm 3100, corresponding to the 100% reference value, with very similar anodic currents and a very good balance. The tube also resulted in Low Noise & Microphonics, with very strong and stable emission and no anomalies detected.

The excellent uniformity of the sections and the Low Noise & Microphonics selection make it particularly interesting for driver stages, line stages and phase inverters, as well as for hi-fi equipment and instrument amplifiers compatible with 12BH7 / 12BH7A, even in the most sensitive audio positions.

From a sonic point of view, American RCA Black Plates are appreciated for a full-bodied, dynamic and natural reproduction, with solid and well-controlled bass, a rich and musical midrange and clean and well-defined high frequencies. The overall character retains the typical musicality of vintage RCA production, combining it with the driving capability and authority typical of the 12BH7 family.

The tube is NOS NIB – New Old Stock, New In Box, accurately tested and perfectly functional, supplied in its original RCA box. The aesthetic conditions are good, with partially eroded but still legible screen printing and a well-preserved tube body.
