Description

Not just a simple "matched" pair: two GE 6AS7GA NOS NIB selected on Amplitrex at high current to offer stability, uniformity, and consistent behavior in compatible OTL applications.

Designed for OTL amplifiers, headphone amplifiers, and circuits of the 6AS7 / 6080 family, this pair is selected at 55 mA per section in Auto Bias to verify the tubes' behavior under demanding conditions and to identify electrically very consistent units.

The final matching is performed mainly by comparing the grid voltage (Vg) required by each section to reach the same anode current of 55 mA, with the Gm used as an additional parameter of electrical consistency.

The tubes obtained a VERY STRONG classification, with stable emission, well-balanced sections, consistent behavior between the two tubes, and absence of shorts, gas, or instability.

These are authentic GE NOS NIB – New Old Stock, New In Box – never used, from military DLA – Defense Logistics Agency stock. Manufactured by General Electric, Made in USA 1986, Owensboro, Kentucky plant, with military green GE silkscreen and original packaging.

The construction features black plates, robust internal structure, and a domed chrome getter. The manufacturing code 86-48 identifies the 48th week of 1986.
