Description:

This ECC88 / 6DJ8 AMPEREX NOS , produced in the historic Heerlen (Holland) factory in the 60s, represents one of the most refined and musically appreciated versions of the famous European double triode.

The disc dimpled getter construction is typical of Heerlen production of that period, synonymous with construction quality, electrical stability and consistency over time.

This is an authentic NOS (New Old Stock) example, never used, selected and tested in our laboratory with VERY STRONG results, ready for high-level hi-fi and professional applications.

Sound Characteristics

Bass: Fast, controlled, and well-articulated. The low range is precise and dry, with excellent rhythmic definition and no overemphasis.

Mids: Transparent, bright, and natural. Vocals are believable and well-defined, while acoustic instruments emerge with the clarity and harmonic coherence typical of the Heerlen school.

Highs: Open, airy, and finely refined. The top end is extended but never aggressive, with a very fine grain that enhances high-resolution systems.

Dynamics: Lively and well-controlled. Excellent microdynamics and prompt transient response, with a consistently smooth and legible output.

Soundstage: Wide, stable, and three-dimensional. The soundstage is well-focused, with natural separation of planes and believable depth.
