Description:

Precious 12AX7 / ECC83 NOS MULLARD produced by Philips at the Heerlen plant, authentic Dutch production Made in Holland from 1958, characterized by the sought-after Long Gray Plates construction with Foil Getter, typical of the first Philips ECC83s in Europe and today particularly appreciated by high-end vintage tube enthusiasts.

The MULLARD branding in this specimen matches the actual Philips Heerlen production, confirmed by the etched code mC6 Δ8K, traceable to the Dutch plant and to November 1958. A combination of great technical and collectible interest, especially for those seeking authentic European ECC83s from the late 1950s.

The tube has been carefully tested in our laboratory using Amplitrex AT-1000 Tube Tester, obtaining a VERY STRONG rating. The two sections measured respectively Gm 1600 / Ia 1.0 mA and Gm 1500 / Ia 0.9 mA, showing strong, consistent and well-aligned values. Emission was excellent, very stable and free of fluctuations, with no short circuits, gas or anomalies detected.

It was also selected for Low Noise & Microphonics, with low and well-controlled noise, making it particularly suitable for phono stages, V1 and high-gain positions sensitive to noise and microphonics. The good balance between the two triodes allows for very versatile use in hi-fi and instrumental applications.

From a sonic point of view, the early Philips Heerlen Long Plates ECC83s are sought after for a wide, refined and natural presentation, with rich and harmonically complex mids, articulate bass and open and detailed high frequencies, always maintaining a fluid musicality free of harshness. The soundstage tends to be airy, deep and well-focused, qualities that make these productions particularly interesting in high-level audio systems.

Ideal for hi-fi preamplifiers, phono stages, integrated amplifiers, line stages, DACs and tube buffers, guitar amplifiers and vintage restorations compatible with 12AX7 / ECC83.

The tube is NOS New Old Stock, carefully tested and perfectly functional. The aesthetic conditions are excellent, with excellently preserved screen printing and minimal signs of age. It is supplied in our custom box for optimal protection.
