12AX7 / ECC83 RCA – Long Black Plates – Square Tilt Getter – Made in USA ’58

AMPLITREX Tested – Balanced Sections – Low Noise & Microphonics – Vintage American Black Plates

Description

12AX7 / ECC83 RCA tube, Made in USA 1958 production, selected for compatible hi-fi and musical applications where vintage American sound character, low noise, and good internal consistency are required.

The construction with Long Black Plates and rare Square Tilt Getter identifies one of the most fascinating RCA configurations of the late 1950s, highly appreciated for its musicality, harmonic richness, and strong sonic personality.

The tube is used, carefully tested in our laboratory using the Amplitrex AT-1000 Tube Tester, with balanced sections and classified Low Noise & Microphonics.

Aesthetically, it is in good condition for its age: the RCA silkscreen is partially eroded but still legible, while the internal structure retains all the charm of authentic 1950s American black plates. See photos for details.

Sonically, it offers a broad, rich, and musical performance, with full and natural bass, material and harmonically dense mids, and fluid, never aggressive highs. The overall character is warm, engaging, and refined, typical of the best vintage RCA long black plates.

Suitable for hi-fi preamplifiers, line stages, compatible phono stages, integrated amplifiers, driver stages, vintage amplifiers, boutique amplifiers, and circuits compatible with 12AX7 / ECC83.

An RCA 12AX7 / ECC83 Long Black Plates from 1958 truly tested by Vacuum Tubes Treasures, ideal for those seeking an authentic, quiet, balanced vintage American tube with a rich and natural sound character.
