Precious 12AU7 / ECC82 NOS Telefunken, produced in West Germany and featuring the famous Smooth Plates construction with authentic ◊ Diamond Bottom stamped into the base glass, a distinguishing feature of original Telefunken production and among the most recognizable in the world of vintage audio tubes.

The Telefunken Smooth Plates represent one of the most sought-after versions of the ECC82 / 12AU7 family, appreciated for their high build quality, long operational life, electrical stability and especially for their ability to maintain extremely uniform performance over time. A historical reference of German production intended for high-end audio and professional equipment.

The tube has been subjected to 48 hours of burn-in / stability test and carefully tested in our laboratory using Amplitrex AT-1000 Tube Tester, obtaining a VERY STRONG / MOLTO FORTE classification, with values higher than the nominal reference. The two sections are well balanced and the tube has been selected Low Noise & Microphonics, with very strong, stable emission and free of anomalies.

From a sonic point of view, the Telefunken Smooth Plate is renowned for an extremely clean, balanced and refined reproduction, with precise and controlled bass, transparent and natural mids, extended and detailed high frequencies without becoming aggressive, and a wide, orderly and well-focused soundstage. Compared to the warmer and fuller American productions, it prioritizes neutrality, definition and precision, while maintaining remarkable musicality.

Ideal for high-end hi-fi preamplifiers, driver stages, phase inverters, tube DACs, headphone amplifiers and professional equipment compatible with 12AU7 / ECC82. Thanks to the Low Noise & Microphonics selection, it is particularly suitable even in the most sensitive audio stages where quietness and the ability to resolve small details are fundamental.

The tube is NOS – New Old Stock, carefully tested and perfectly functional. The aesthetic conditions are good, with partially eroded but still legible markings and the tube body in good overall condition.
