6CA7 / EL34 Mullard XF3 – Amperex Label – Two Matched Pairs – NOS NIB – Halo Getter – Made in Great Britain

AMPLITREX Tested – TWO HIGH-GRADE MATCHED PAIRS – VERY STRONG – Original Amperex Boxes

Description

Set consisting of four 6CA7 / EL34 Mullard XF3 NOS NIB, Amperex branded and produced in the historic Mullard factory in Blackburn, Great Britain, carefully selected as two distinct high-grade matched pairs.

This is not a single matched quartet of four tubes, but two electrically coherent pairs, each selected for anode current and transconductance. This configuration is particularly interesting for dual mono amplifiers, mono power amplifiers, systems using two separate pairs, or for those who wish to have a second perfectly selected Mullard XF3 pair.

The tubes are in NOS NIB – New Old Stock, New In Box condition, supplied in their original Amperex boxes. The construction features a Halo Getter and the typical characteristics of Mullard XF3 production from the 1970s, highly sought after today for build quality, operational stability, and authentic British sound character.

All four tubes have been tested in our laboratory using the Amplitrex AT-1000 Tube Tester. Both pairs received a VERY STRONG rating, with stable emission, absence of shorts and gas, and very solid electrical values.

Sonically, they offer the classic Mullard character: deep and controlled bass, rich, natural, and three-dimensional mids, smooth and never aggressive highs. The presentation is expansive, harmonically complete, and musically engaging, with excellent dynamics and great tonal naturalness.

Suitable for high-end hi-fi amplifiers, push-pull power amplifiers, dual mono configurations, vintage restorations, and guitar amplifiers compatible with EL34 / 6CA7.

A rare set consisting of two matched Mullard XF3 / Amperex Label NOS NIB pairs, genuinely tested and selected by Vacuum Tubes Treasures, ideal for those seeking four original British EL34s without compromising electrical coherence within each pair.

  • ATTENTION PLEASE

Please understand that the writing on the glass of vintage valves has become very delicate over the years and comes off easily. You must handle them with extreme care to avoid this.
