12AU7 / ECC82 Baldwin by RCA Matched Quad – Clear Top – Long Gray Plates – Side D Getter – Made in USA ’59

Amplitrex Tested – VERY STRONG – Low Noise & Microphonics

Selected quartet of 12AU7 / ECC82 Baldwin by RCA, production Made in USA circa 1959, with Clear Top, Long Gray Plates and Side D Getter construction. A very interesting configuration from RCA's American production of the late 1950s, appreciated for its stability, consistency, and build quality.

Baldwin-branded tubes were often produced by RCA for professional organ applications, with high-quality standards and a selection focused on long-term reliability. The Clear Top design, typical of some RCA productions, contributes to an open, clean, and well-defined sound.

The quartet comes from the same manufacturing batch and has been tested and selected in our laboratory using an Amplitrex AT-1000, resulting in a Matched Quad with extremely close values.

All tubes are rated VERY STRONG, with stable emission, low noise, and microphonics. Burn-in test passed.

Sonically, this quartet offers a balanced, transparent, and controlled presentation. The Clear Top construction, combined with the long plates, delivers a clean and articulate sound, with fast bass, linear mids, open but not aggressive highs, and an organized and stable soundstage.

Suitable for line preamplifiers, phono stages, drivers, buffers, and circuits compatible with 12AU7 / ECC82, where coherence between tubes, low noise, and operational stability are required.

A truly selected and verified RCA/Baldwin quartet to work together, ideal for those seeking vintage American production, accurate matching, and reliable sound performance in the full style of Vacuum Tubes Treasures.
