Description:

Valuable 12AU7 / ECC82 NOS NIB Sylvania, made in the USA and featuring the sought-after 3 Mica, Gray Plates and Square Getter construction. This is a particularly interesting vintage configuration from American Sylvania production, made with a robust and accurate internal structure, which is increasingly difficult to find today in authentic New Old Stock condition.

This example belongs to the Sylvania Export Quality production, intended for international markets and approximately traceable to the late 1950s / early 1960s, one of the most appreciated periods of American tube production.

The tube has been carefully tested in our laboratory using an Amplitrex AT-1000 Tube Tester, achieving a VERY STRONG classification. Both sections are well balanced and the tube has been selected for Low Noise & Microphonics, a quality that makes it particularly interesting for even the most sensitive audio stages.

Sonically, Sylvania tubes from this period are appreciated for an open, natural, and well-defined reproduction, with controlled bass, transparent and musical mids, detailed but never aggressive high frequencies, and a wide and orderly soundstage. The 3 mica construction also contributes to the mechanical solidity of the assembly, which is particularly valuable in applications where stability and reduced microphonics are important.

Ideal for hi-fi preamplifiers, compatible phono stages, driver stages, phase inverters, tube DACs, headphone amplifiers, and guitar amplifiers. Thanks to the Low Noise & Microphonics selection, it can also be used in the most sensitive positions, including V1 in compatible applications.

The tube is NOS NIB – New Old Stock, New In Box, carefully tested and fully functional. It is supplied in its original Sylvania box, which has the bottom flap missing. The aesthetic condition of the tube is appropriate for its age, with partially faded but still identifiable silkscreen printing.
