Description:

Valuable 5814A / 12AU7WA / E82CC GE Five Stars NOS NIB, authentic professional General Electric Made in USA production from 1957, featuring the sought-after Triple Mica, Gray Plates, and Horse Shoe Getter construction. The GE Five Stars series represents one of the most appreciated high-reliability lines of vintage American production, developed for professional applications where stability, long life, and consistent performance were fundamental requirements.

The manufacturing code 57-26 / 188 identifies General Electric Company, Syracuse, New York production, and precisely places this specimen in the 26th week of 1957. The combination of Five Stars + Triple Mica + Horse Shoe Getter, together with NOS NIB conditions, makes this tube particularly interesting both technically and for collectors.

The tube has been carefully tested in our laboratory using the Amplitrex AT-1000 Tube Tester, achieving a VERY STRONG classification. The two sections measured respectively Gm 2200 / Ia 11.6 mA and Gm 2210 / Ia 12.0 mA, showing practically perfect transconductance matching and excellent anode current alignment. The emission is very strong, stable, and free of fluctuations.

It also passed a 48-hour Burn-in / Stability Test and has been selected for Ultra Low Noise & Microphonics, with particularly low and well-controlled noise. It is therefore suitable even for the most sensitive audio stages, including preamplifiers, V1, and compatible phono stages. The excellent balance between the two triodes also makes it particularly suitable for use as a phase inverter in compatible hi-fi and instrumental applications. No shorts, gas, or anomalies were detected.

Sonically, vintage GE Five Stars 5814A are appreciated for a balanced, authoritative, and refined presentation, with natural and well-defined mids, solid and controlled bass, and clean and open high frequencies. The combination of professional construction, high quietness, and perfect section consistency makes this specimen particularly interesting for high-level audio electronics.

Ideal for hi-fi preamplifiers, compatible phono stages, integrated amplifiers, line stages, DACs and tube buffers, phase inverters, professional equipment, and guitar amplifiers designed for 5814A / 12AU7WA / E82CC and compatible equivalents.

The tube is NOS NIB – New Old Stock, New In Box, carefully tested and perfectly functional, supplied in its original box. Aesthetic conditions are good, with partially eroded but still legible screen printing and a well-preserved tube body.

A valuable GE Five Stars 5814A / 12AU7WA / E82CC Triple Mica Gray Plates Horse Shoe Getter from 1957, truly tested and selected by Vacuum Tubes Treasures, with VERY STRONG, Ultra Low Noise & Microphonics and exceptionally balanced sections: a high-level NOS NIB specimen for those seeking one of the most interesting professional General Electric productions of the 1950s.
