12AX7 / ECC83 Mazda Valve – Short Gray Plates – Halo Getter – Made in England BVA

AMPLITREX Tested – VERY STRONG – Low Noise & Microphonics – Vintage British ECC83

Description

12AX7 / ECC83 Mazda Valve, Made in England BVA production, selected for compatible hi-fi and musical applications where British sonic character, low noise, and operational stability are required.

British Mazda ECC83s are valued by enthusiasts for their careful construction, good production consistency, and a balanced, natural, and musical sound. This version features Short Gray Plates and a Halo Getter, a classic configuration of British production of that era.

The tube has been tested in our lab using the Amplitrex AT-1000 Tube Tester, with a VERY STRONG result, and has been selected as Low Noise & Microphonics, an important characteristic for sensitive audio applications.

Aesthetically, it is in good vintage condition. As visible in the photographs, the original branded print is no longer present, but the internal structure is well preserved and retains the charm of authentic vintage British ECC83s.

Sonically, it offers a refined, natural, and well-controlled sound, with tidy bass, present and musical mids, and sweet and well-integrated highs. The overall character is fluid, balanced, and pleasant, particularly suitable for extended listening sessions and systems where musicality is sought more than artificial brilliance.

Suitable for hi-fi preamplifiers, line stages, compatible phono stages, integrated amplifiers, driver stages, vintage, and modern equipment compatible with 12AX7 / ECC83. Also usable in guitar amplifiers, tube preamplifiers, and studio equipment.

A genuinely tested ECC83 Mazda Made in England BVA from Vacuum Tubes Treasures, ideal for those seeking a quiet, strong, vintage British tube with a natural sound character.

  • ATTENTION PLEASE

Please understand that the writing on the glass of vintage valves has become very delicate over the years and comes off easily. You must handle them with extreme care to avoid this.
